Flood Insurance Relief

The House of Representatives passed a bill that will keep government-subsidized flood insurance rates in place when homeowners sell their primary residence, removing a major impediment to home sales in flood-prone areas.

The bill still must pass through the Senate before it becomes law. This addresses a major concern for both buyers and sellers and if passed by the senate could help insure that buyers can comfortably shop properties looking for their home in our coastal areas as other flood prone areas across the US. Stay tuned for more info on how it goes in the senate!
